Welcome!

You have taken the first step to receiving the support you long for and deserve! For some people, this is the hardest step. I am proud of you!
I am a Registered Social Worker who works with Individuals and couples over the age of 18, and families. My previous clients have described me as empathetic, compassionate, non-judgmental, and kind. My approach to therapy is to provide a space where you can feel comfortable to tell me the things you wouldn’t tell anyone else and know I wouldn’t judge you. I want the space to feel safe to you by fostering trust, transparency, authenticity, connection, and cultural sensitivity.

Most of my experience has been providing therapy to people who are impacted by chronic illness, including Cancer. This included the people diagnosed, their caregivers (professional or family), and friends or family of a person who has been diagnosed. I also have many years providing therapy to parents who want support with parenting, folks who have experienced sexual assault, and life transition events such as retirement, divorce, marriage, new parents, and much more!

Services
Individual Counselling
Many of us are taught that we must tackle life’s challenges on our own and that emotions are not meant to be felt, but to be pushed down until we forget them. I am here to guide you as you unlearn some of the previous messaging around mental health and support you as you learn new ways to cope. Let’s collaborate and work on living a meaningful life despite the challenges you face.
Couples Counselling
The challenges we face in life has an impact on our relationships. It is completely normal to have difficult times throughout your relationship. We can work together to unravel the concerns you have and build skills that may strengthen your relationship.
Family Counselling
When illness, changes, and hardships happen to a member of the family, the whole family feels the impact. This may result in more family arguments or make a family that once felt like a unit, feel separate or distant. If this is something you would like to work on as a family, let’s talk!
